#SIMONSTRONG BIKE

A close friend of Simon Richardson MBE is professional sprayer and ex-commando - Chris Grove - of Performance Race Art in South Wales. They're great mates and Simon has been helping Chris build his time trial bike and train in readiness for an ironman he is participating in.


Frustrated by Simons accident and feeling helpless, Chris got to work on dedicating his time trial frameset to his friend - a simply wonderful gesture.


Chris aims to put the twitter names of as many of Simons supporters as possible all over the bike, leaving the #SIMONSTRONG logo on the downtube. I couldn't think of a more wonderful tribute that he could make to his friend right now.

So, if you'd like your Twitter name to appear on the bike in support of Simon, please just Tweet "I'm supporting #SIMONSTRONG " to @Chris_PRA and he'll get on as many as he can until the frame is full.

Update 22/8/11 - Entries are now closed for inclusion.  685 were received!  More information to come.

Note to Press; Simon Richardson is a double-gold Paralympic cyclist.  On the track in Bejing 2008 he won the LC3/4 1km time trial and 3km individual pursuit. He also claimed a silver in the road time trial and assisted team mate Darren Kenny to victory in the road race.  Further details can be found on his Wikipedia page.
